From 2007 to 2015, she then got a full on show showcasing her saving Fair City from various villains using her super vocabulary powers! Did you know that WordGirl's alias on Earth is actually a girl named Becky Botsford? Don't tell her we told you that! Believe it or not, WordGirl started off in a series of shorts in 2006 called The Amazing Colossal Adventures of Wordgirl. WordGirl is from the planet named Lexicon and eventually came to Earth in her spaceship with her sidekick, Captain Huggy Face. This air-stall does give these moves increased endlag, however.Ĭuts to footage of WordGirl clips with WordGirl in them. Since WordGirl is a superhero capable of flight, her descent is greatly slowed while charging her normal attacks or performing her neutral or down specials in the air. WordGirl is a fast but light character who prioritizes airborne combat. In this video, we will be talking about the super heroine with superb vocabulary, WordGirl!Ĭuts to footage of WordGirl gameplay while narrator explains WordGirl's play style. In this series, we will be covering all the fighters in this game, talking about their moveset, stage, their history as well as other content about the character. Hello everyone, and welcome to the PBS Kids: Brawltime! Meet the Fighters videos. It now cuts to gameplay footage of WordGirl and Chris and Martin idling on WordGirl's Super Secret Spaceship Hideout Stage. The PBS Kids: Brawltime! logo pops up with the 12 characters so far revealed on it. PBS Kids: Brawltime! Meet the Fighters: Introducing WordGirl! I feel like while I give the voting a few more hours for our 15th fighter and time for the 81st job, it's time for another Meet the Fighters script, this time, it's for WordGirl. Finally, we are lacking in post-2017 PBS Kids characters so Molly would be a great addition. I feel it's time we have another character who we can have fun with a moveset with as well as positively portray Native Americans in this fighting game as Molly of Denali is a perfect example of Native American culture for children. Her moveset can involve a gimmick of vlogging as well as the various activities she does in Alaska. I feel Molly deserves to be in to increase the male:female character ration to 12:3 (if she is chosen, plus there are La-La and Po too who are a part of The Teletubbies but they are with two male characters are not individual characters) and for the fact that she can have an unique play style. The show is one of the best portrayals of Native American life (given how bad Native Americans have been portrayed in pop culture). The show was the first American nationally distributed children's show to feature an Alaska Native as a main character. The show is about Molly Mabray (her native name is Shahnyaa), a 10-year old native from Alaska specifically the fictional village of Qyah as she vlogs about her life with her family, friends, her Malamute Suki, and other residents. Molly Mabray is the main protagonist of the show Molly of Denali. So overall, her moves would be a combination of real-world cat moves and summoning mighty Chinese spirits. Another idea I have for her moves is that can call upon powerful Chinese spirits to fight alongside her. One idea for a gimmick or special move I have is a "predatory mode", where she would enter a pose where she is about to pounce something, which is something real world cats tend to do sometimes. Most of her attacks would involve swiping her paws at others. Sagwa would be a lightweight character with high mobility and jumping skills and can also run very fast (Cats can run at 30 mph after all). Those are just 3 examples of my reason she deserves a spot in the roster. China's THAT recognizable, and the way it's represented in her show is treated with high respect. Three, her show takes place in China, which is a country that is very well-known in the USA, with Chinese being one of the most spoken languages in the world. It fits into the category of obscure 2000's PBS Kids shows. Two, her show in general, although short-lived, was very obscure and underrated. One, there have historically been barely any platform fighting games to have cats as playable fighters, and I am a cat person myself. She deserves a spot in the roster for many reasons. What's interesting about the show is that it's cross-cultural, meaning its theme song is in both English and Chinese. Her show takes place in China during the late Qing Dynasty, where she and her other cat friends and family learn lessons regarding family obligations and loyalty.
